- a boy working on raising threads on a loom was the son of a pipe organ creator so he used the Cam to automate the work
- to do this he used Punch Cards so the needs would only move where there where holes
- Flacon made the first automated loom using those Punch Cards
- but Jacquard did it better so got all the credit
